Benefits of Natural Skin Care Products

Why natural and why now?

Did you know that about 60% of what we put on our skin is absorbed into our bodies? Who knew??!!

Studies have shown that we can be affected by the chemicals in commercial body care and beauty products – our moods, our immune systems, reproductive and nervous system health – all affected we are told. That is heavy duty information!

And wow – doesn’t that make you want something more natural on the outside if it’s going to find its way in?

Natural skin care works with the skin – naturally without chemical manipulation and interference. The products are gentler and more ‘welcoming’ to the skin – particularly for skin prone to redness, irritation and inflammation.

And YES, natural works. People have been using it for years and there are superfoods and antioxidants, vitamins and minerals galore –Botanicals we love can tell you more about specific ingredients we love (and there are soooooooo many more). Chemical intervention is just that –and natural is, you guessed it, Natural.

Can we take this to the next level? … Natural is better for the environment too – after all you’re washing things down the drain and into the oceans. Not to mention what goes into sourcing the chemicals that are used in non-natural products (petroleum, aluminium and lead, to name a few)

Apparently women put an average of 168 chemicals on their bodies every day – I don’t think I want to know more!

Skin care is a choice we all make every day as part of our daily routine and the choice is yours to make. But can we ask you to at least check the labels to make sure you’re doing the best you can and making the most of what you have – your skin. Nurture it.

Ps: Sorry if this sounded super serious, but as we looked further into this topic we were so, so surprised. By all means research this subject yourself – we’re always happy to learn more.
